Ben Rimmer

Ben Rimmer currently serves as the Deputy Secretary for Higher Education, Research and International at the Australian Government Department of Education, a role commenced in April 2023. Rimmer has a diverse background in leadership roles, including positions as Chair and Director at the Australian Youth Orchestra, Associate Secretary at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and Chief Executive Officer at Homes Victoria. Additional experience includes advisory roles at various organizations, board membership at IPAA Victoria, and participation in the Champions of Change Coalition. Rimmer's educational background includes an MBA from Saïd Business School, LLB (Hons) and BA (Hons) degrees from the University of Melbourne, as well as executive education from Harvard Kennedy School and MIT Sloan School of Management.
