Frank Shlafer

Frank Shlafer is an accomplished chemical engineer with a strong background in process improvement, manufacturing, and research. Currently serving as a Research Engineer II at Nitto Avecia since October 2021, Frank is involved in innovative projects within the Technology & Innovation Group. Previous experience includes roles as a Chemical Engineer III at Nalas Engineering Services, Inc., where significant contributions were made in scaling up processes and developing product isolation techniques. Frank also gained experience as a Manufacturing Intern at Solchroma and as a Teaching Assistant at Tufts University, where responsibilities included facilitating learning in general chemistry. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and ongoing pursuit of a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Bioengineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
