Steve Horning has over 30 years of work experience in software development. Steve began their career in 1989 at EDS as a Senior Engineering Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for software development of advanced and production suspension and braking systems. Steve also designed and developed PC-based instrumentation software and software used for testing automotive components. In 2000, they moved to Honeywell Aerospace as a Software Engineer and was responsible for the software development of aircraft LCD displays. Steve was also responsible for the software design and implementation of all graphics functions of the Electronic Standby Indicator. Finally, in 2004, they joined Avidyne as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for software development of integrated flight decks, as well as the development of real-time embedded software for FAA-certified avionics equipment and components of an integrated Flight Display System.
Steve Horning obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Digital Option from The Ohio State University between 1984 and 1988.
