Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Team Lead at LATAM Airlines

Carlos Rodrigues has extensive experience in the aircraft maintenance field. Carlos started their career in 1998 at VARIG Brazilian Airlines, where they worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for almost 9 years. From 2007 to 2008, they joined Oceanair (currently Avianca Brazil) as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, focusing on line maintenance and fleet inspection routine. Since 2008, Carlos has been working at LATAM Airlines, where they have held various roles. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician and later as Team Lead, they have been responsible for line maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, with an emphasis on avionics. Carlos has experience working on Airbus models A-320 Family, A-330, A-350, and Boeing's B-777 and B-767. Carlos is also experienced in the recovery of aircraft in Aircraft On Ground (AOG) conditions. Since May 2014, they have been the maintenance leader, coordinating the team of mechanics in line maintenance, including scheduled checks, corrective maintenance, and AOG situations.

Carlos Rodrigues has a diverse and comprehensive education history. Carlos earned a Postgraduate degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management from Estácio in 2013-2014. Prior to that, they completed a Technologist degree in Industrial Production Management from FATEC in 2009-2011. Carlos also holds a Technician degree in Electronic from the Instituto Monitor in 2002-2003, as well as a General Mechanical degree from SENAI in 1996-1998. In addition to their academic qualifications, Carlos has obtained several certifications related to their field, including an Advanced English C1 Certificate from EF English First in 2020, an Aircraft Maintenance License B1.1 from EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency in 2019, and various other certifications from reputable institutions such as Airbus Group and ANAC - Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency.
