Vice President, Operations & Maintenance

The Vice President of Operations and Maintenance will lead site-related management and oversee collaboration with third-party contractors. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational alignment with the company's strategic goals, ensuring efficient site performance, and upholding safety and compliance standards across all operational activities.
Responsibilities:
Champion the health and safety of team members and contractors, reinforcing a culture of safety across all operational activities;
Provide strategic leadership by formulating and executing operational strategies that reflect the company’s mission and long-term objectives;
Drive operational excellence, optimizing site performance through effective planning, process improvements, and adherence to best practices;
Coordinate closely with the Executive Leadership Team to articulate and implement business objectives;
Establish and refine operational protocols in collaboration with Human Resources, Legal, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance and reliable asset operations;
Maintain seamless integration with the Asset Management team to support sustained performance and fulfillment of contractual obligations;
Direct management of internal and external operations and maintenance staff;
Administer budgets, control expenses, and enhance resource efficiency;
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to support contractual commitments and internal requirements;
Foster leadership development within the Operations team to build and maintain a robust organizational structure;
Guide the transition of assets from development and construction phases to commercial operations, ensuring quality standards are met;
Contribute to due diligence processes for development projects and M&A activities;
Other duties as assigned or required.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, or relevant field;
An interest in the energy transition and an understanding of the North American electric utility industry;
Extensive experience with utility-scale battery storage and PV solar systems;
Aptitude for problem-solving, tackling unforeseen issues, and troubleshooting;
Ability to communicate effectively in commercial and technical settings.
Compensation and Location:
Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience.
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the business's overall success.

Location: Austin, TX, or Remote. Ability to work and travel in the United States and Canada is a requirement.
Travel: Candidate must be willing to travel 20% across the US and Canada.
