Mengchen Yu

Mengchen Yu is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience spanning over a decade. Currently serving as an Emoji Connoisseur at Band since February 2023, Mengchen contributes to the development of a smart operating system for purchasing groups. Prior to this role, Mengchen held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Facebook from August 2019 to January 2023, focusing on payment platforms and video infrastructure. Earlier experience includes a significant tenure at Cerner Corporation from July 2012 to June 2019, where Mengchen advanced from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead, playing a pivotal role in scaling the organization and as a founding engineer for the Population Health Organization. Mengchen holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
