Joon Shin

Joon Shin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance industry. Joon (Joonhyok) began their career at W Mutual Savings Bank as a Treasury and Accounting Officer from December 2008 to January 2010. Joon (Joonhyok) then moved to Hanmi Bank, where they held various positions, including AVP & Corp. Strategy Officer from June 2010 to June 2013, and later VP & Treasury Officer from July 2013 to January 2017. Since 2017, Joon has been working at Bank of Hope, starting as an FVP & Senior Financial Analyst from February 2017 to June 2019. Joon (Joonhyok) then became FVP & Financial Analytics Manager from July 2019 to December 2019, followed by FVP & Treasury Manager from January 2020 to March 2020. Joon then advanced to the role of SVP & Senior Treasury Manager from April 2020 to April 2023, and currently holds the position of SVP & Deputy Treasurer from May 2023 onwards. Joon's experience spans various levels of responsibility in treasury, financial analytics, and strategy, showcasing their expertise in these areas.

Joon (Joonhyok) Shin, CFA, FRM, CTP, holds a BA in Political Science (Major) and Business (minor) from Yonsei University, where they studied International/Global Studies, Marketing, Accounting, and Financial Management. Joon also attended Myungduk Foreign Language Highschool from 1994 to 1996. In addition to their education, Joon has obtained several certifications, including Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) from the Association for Financial Professionals in 2021, Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the GARP FRM Program in 2019, and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute in 2016. Joon has also completed a course in Bond math and analysis from Wall Street Prep.
