Julie H.

Julie H. is a Dementia Support Specialist at Dementia Australia, where responsibilities include empowering individuals living with dementia and their carers through information and education. Julie is also the founder of EVERYbody Dance Now All Abilities Discos and the Royal Rehab Lifestyle Choir, focusing on volunteer coordination and community connection for people with disabilities. Prior experience includes serving as a Wellness & Lifestyle Coordinator at BaptistCare NSW & ACT, where support was provided to enhance the independence of Retirement Village residents. Additional roles include committee member at the City of Ryde Council Social Inclusion Committee, Stroke Club Coordinator at the Stroke Recovery Association NSW, and senior recreational therapist at Royal Rehab. Julie’s extensive background in recreational therapy dates back to the early 1990s with positions as a play therapist in pediatrics at Westmead Children's Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.
