Ana Varela-Rey

Ana Varela-Rey, PhD, currently serves as the Career Counselling Technical Coordinator at Barcelona Activa since November 2020 and has been involved in the technical and executive coordination of the Pla Impuls a l'Ocupació a Barcelona. Additionally, Ana is an Associate Lecturer at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya since February 2022. Previously, Ana held the position of Head of Career Counselling at EMFO from March 2018 to November 2020 and worked as a Teaching Fellow in Social Psychology at the University of Leicester between August 2016 and March 2018. Ana's academic background includes a PhD in Social Psychology from Universitat de Barcelona, where Ana also completed a Master's in Psychosocial Intervention. Ana's extensive experience includes project management roles focused on employability and skills development, specifically for marginalized groups.
