Markus Gerlich began their work experience at Bates Germany in 1991 as a Senior Creative. Markus then worked at JWT as a Group Head from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2005, they were an Executive Creative Director at emb AG. In 2006, they held roles as an Executive Creative Director at RMG Connect and as a Konzeptioner / Creative Consultant at pepperglobal. In 2007, they became the CD / Unit-Leiter / Business Director at Publicis Groupe until 2011. Since 2014, Gerlich has been the Head of Brand at Bauerfeind AG, responsible for Brand Development and Communication globally.
Markus Gerlich pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1983 to 1986, they attended Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, where they studied Philosophy und Kunst. Following this, from 1986 to 1990, they enrolled at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, where they obtained a degree in Design/Werbung, specifically Diplom Designer.
