Phil Sturno has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Phil began their career at General Dynamics Space Systems Division as a Flight Control Engineer. Phil then worked at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a Production Team Leader before joining Fluor Daniel as a Project Manager. At Fluor Daniel, they reengineered processes for a pharmaceutical packaging company, resulting in annual savings of $5M.
After that, Phil worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Consultant in the Strategic Change Group, conducting value-based analysis for multiple companies. Their analysis helped redefine clients' capital expenditure and revenue growth targets.
Phil then joined Schering-Plough Research Institute, where they held roles such as Senior Financial Analyst, Manager of Clinical Data Management, and Associate Director of Clinical Operations. Phil successfully managed technical transfer activities and developed cost-benefit analysis for a web-based clinical data management system.
At Novartis, Phil served as a Senior Director in Global Program Management and Oncology Clinical Development. Phil achieved executive approval for a global program strategy projected to increase annual sales by $200M and led cross-functional teams in product safety analysis.
Later, Phil joined Biovail Corporation as a Director of Project Management before moving to Bausch Health Companies Inc. In Bausch Health, they held various roles such as Vice President of Global Research and Development and Senior Director/Vice President of US Research and Development. Phil led innovation and development activities, achieved direct report retention, and doubled Dermatology OTC revenue.
Their most recent roles include being a Strategic Advisor at Padula Rehabilitation Therapies and Bain Advisor Network.
Throughout their career, Phil has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in research and development, project management, and process improvement.
Phil Sturno obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University College of Engineering in the years 1983 to 1988. Later, they pursued an MBA degree in Finance and Operations from NYU Stern School of Business from 1990 to 1995.
