Robert Smith

Robert “Red” Smith brings 40 years of technology services leadership and entrepreneurial expertise to baytechIT. Prior to baytechIT, Red was the CEO at SkyCentrics, an IoT/SaaS based energy solutions company serving US-based electric utility companies. Previously, Red served as President of Kirsen Technologies, a global leader in location-based and integrated sensor solutions serving the logistics, automotive, and public transit industries. There, he expanded the company’s technology reach by entering the electric scooter/shared micro-mobility market, launching Clevr Mobility in multiple cities beginning in late 2018. Prior, Red spent 12 years as the CEO of ContainerTrac, a navigation and sensor IT solutions company. Before ContainerTrac, Red was SVP and GM at Callisma, a professional services firm that designed, implemented, and managed IT solutions for business enterprises. He also spent 4 years as a Vice President and General Manager at Entex Information Services, which at the time was the largest US value added reseller and managed services provider to the Fortune 500. His 13 years at Pacific Bell (now AT&T) included many operational and sales roles throughout California.

Red earned his MBA from UC Berkeley and a BS in Finance from the University of Southern California.
