John L France

John L France has an extensive work experience, having held various positions since 2008. John L began their career as a Technical Staffing Recruiter for Insight Global Inc in 2008. In 2009, they became a Ski Instructor for Vail Resorts. John L then held the role of Operations Manager for Harvest Catering in 2010. In 2012, they Co-Founded subQ Designs. From 2011 to 2019, they held various roles at Weatherford, including Technical Business Development and Sales Manager, Completion Systems -Technical Sales and Business Development, and Surface Logging Systems - Technical Sales Representative. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Partner at SMT Energy, where they contributed to the development and successful exit of 55 MW of Community Solar in New York. In 2020, they Co-Founded Rose Gate Ventures as a Managing Partner, an opportunistic investment and holding company acquiring non-correlated assets across the energy and real property sectors. Finally, in 2021, they became Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner of Bear Peak Power, a company that develops distributed generation, utility-scale, and commercial & industrial solar and stand-alone storage projects.

John L France has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder between 2004 and 2008. John L then obtained an Energy Land Management (ELM) certification from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business in July 2018. John L is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In October 2019, they obtained a Registered Landman (RL) certification from the AAPL - American Association of Professional Landmen.
