Tamar Patterson-Ovedje

Tamar Patterson-Ovedje has extensive experience in education and administration, currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Bellwood School District 88 since January 2006, where responsibilities include identifying school data issues and developing strategies to enhance student success. Prior experience includes a role as a Spanish Teacher at Roosevelt Middle School, focusing on curriculum development aligned with foreign language standards, and a position as a Mental Health Associate at Riveredge Hospital, providing therapeutic support to children in an adolescent unit. Tamar is also a member of the Illinois Writing Project and holds multiple advanced degrees in education and leadership from Northeastern Illinois University and National Louis University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northern Illinois University.
