Shawn Banta

Shawn Banta is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in cloud security and enterprise security engineering. Currently serving as a Cloud Security Engineer and previously as an Enterprise Security Engineer at Benchling since October 2021, Shawn has demonstrated expertise in security assessments, architecture design reviews, and cloud migration projects. Prior experience includes roles at Salesforce, where Shawn performed adversarial simulations and oversaw significant infrastructure migrations, and at Rally Health, where responsibilities encompassed security architecture and compliance initiatives. Additional experience includes positions at Vantiv, Fischer Homes, and the Northern Kentucky Health Department, highlighting Shawn's ability to enhance security controls, manage IT infrastructure, and provide user support across various settings. Shawn holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Technology from Northern Kentucky University.
