Aaron Palumbo began their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant at Solix Biofuels. In 2009 they joined the University of Colorado Boulder as a Principal Investigator, Project Manager, and Post-doctoral Research Associate. In this role, they managed tasks and budgets related to reactor design and component sourcing and procurement, experimental design and operation of lab-scale systems, and tech-to-market analyses. Aaron also conducted Ph.D. research on solar thermal gasification of biomass. In 2016, they became the CEO of Big Blue Technologies, where they innovate high temperature chemical processes, particularly for metals and ceramics production. Theircurrent focus is to scale the most energy efficient and cost-effective method for producing magnesium metal.
Aaron Palumbo received their B.S. in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Colorado State University in 2009, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2014.
