James Adams has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. James began their career at Federal News Service in 2006, serving as an Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. In 2008, they worked as a Private Contractor - Financial Analysis for Harland Clarke Customer Engagement Solutions. From 2012 to 2016, they held the role of Software Development Lead at Expeditors, where they played a key role in designing and executing the shipment of Microsoft's XBOX kits into China. James also built the Cargo Handling Automation Framework and led the resolution of issues in Expeditors' high-volume branch.
In 2016, James joined USAA as a Senior Software Developer, where they led the modernization effort for the Funds Transfer application and coordinated payments initiatives across the Payments Platform department. James later became a Program/Project Management Lead, creating the Lean Portfolio Management operation and collaborating with USAA Bank Payments' leaders to synchronize strategic roadmaps.
In 2021, James joined BillGO as a Technology Product Manager, where they produced strategic roadmaps and led initiatives such as the AWS Multi-Region implementation. James then became the Director of Software Engineering, standing up the BillGO Command Center department and creating a strategic roadmap to improve production management and facilitate the daily processing of over $30M in payments.
Throughout their career, James has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results.
James Adams attended Brigham Young University - Idaho from 2006 to 2011, where they pursued a degree in Business Management with a focus on Finance and Computer Science. Prior to their college education, James completed their high school education at Reagan High School from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained certifications in Agile Team Facilitation and Business Agility Foundations from ICAgile in the years 2020 and 2018 respectively.
