George Cherian Pandarakalam has a diverse work experience. George Cherian began their career in 2009 as a Customer Assistant (Part-time) at Boots UK. In 2010, they joined the University of Aberdeen as a Research Assistant. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Research Assistant (Part-time) and PhD Researcher at the University of Aberdeen. During this time, they successfully developed a semi-automated High-throughput Screening platform for the screening of drug libraries in consultation with the Assay Development Scientists at European Screening Centre (ESC). In 2016, they moved to University of Dundee as an Assay Development Scientist and Drug Discovery Scientist. Since 2019, they have been working as a Senior Scientist - In Vitro BioScience at BioAscent.

George Cherian obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medical Sciences (Science) from the University of Aberdeen between 2012 and 2016.
