Mathilda Kovacek has over 20 years of work experience in the field of biomedical research. Mathilda started their career in 1995 as a Biomedical Assistant at Helsingborgs sjukhus, where they worked for six months. Mathilda then moved on to BMC in 1996, where they continued their role as a Biomedical Assistant for a year. From 1997 to 2004, Mathilda worked at Active Biotech as a Biomedical Assistant. In 2004, they joined Wallenberg Laboratoriet in the same role but stayed there only for a year. In 2005, they worked at Svalöf Weibull AB as a Biochemistry and Molecular Assistant for a year. Currently, they are working as a Research Engineer at BioInvent International AB since 2007. In their current role, Mathilda is responsible for conducting in vivo/in vitro studies in oncology mouse models, including setting up, proof of principle, and mode of action studies. Mathilda has expertise in various oncology mouse models, such as subcutaneous xenograft models, disseminated xenograft models based on primary patient material (CLL, MCL, and AML), and syngeneic orthotropic models.
Mathilda Kovacek attended Gullstrandskolan in Landskrona from 1989 to 1992, where they pursued the Naturvetenskaplig linje program. Following this, they enrolled at Malmö University from 1993 to 1995 to study Biomedicinsk analytiker.
