Betty Jurek

Betty Jurek, PhD, currently serves as the Team Lead for Quality Control CGT Cell Therapies at BioNTech IMFS since March 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Associate Director of Quality Control at CC Pharma GmbH from July 2018 to February 2022. Betty's academic background encompasses research on the effects of human anti-GluN1 antibodies during a PhD candidacy at both DZNE and Charité from August 2013 to July 2018. Additional research roles include positions as a Research Assistant at the Department of Neurology and the Molecular Cell Biology Department at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, and a Biological Technician at Universität Bonn. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medical Neuroscience from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, a Master's in Biomedicine, and a Bachelor's in Molecular Biology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, along with a certification in Pharmaceutical Quality Management from the University of Vienna.
