Emily Jackson is a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology at BioNTech SE since December 2022. Before joining BioNTech SE, Emily held similar positions at HiFiBiO Therapeutics and Whitehead Institute. Emily's research focuses on the evolution of the primate X chromosome and its complex genomic structures associated with genome instability. Prior to their roles in industry, Emily worked as a Research Technician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, conducted undergraduate honors thesis research at Amherst College, and completed a summer internship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Emily holds a PhD in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Biology from Amherst College.
