Jonathan Knudsen

Jonathan Knudsen is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in security research and software development. Currently serving as Principal Research Scientist at Bitsight, Jonathan conducts analysis of Internet-wide data sets to drive product advancements using various technologies including Spark and Python. Previously, Jonathan held several key roles at Synopsys Inc, including Head of Global Research for CyRC, where coordination of security research and vulnerability analysis was pivotal. Jonathan has a robust background in fuzz testing, resulting in notable CVEs, and has contributed to academic instruction as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke University. Jonathan's previous experience encompasses technical writing for Oracle, engineering roles at Sun Microsystems and Codenomicon, and editorial work at O'Reilly & Associates, showcasing a diverse skill set in both technical and instructional capacities. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
