Katie Wallis

Katie Wallis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Katie is currently working as the Director of Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance at BJC HealthCare since March 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Clinical Excellence at Missouri Baptist Medical Center from August 2019 to March 2021. Katie also worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital for a significant period, holding various roles such as Senior Manager of Patient Safety, Risk and Clinical Compliance from July 2013 to September 2019, Performance Improvement Specialist from March 2011 to July 2013, Performance Improvement Consultant from April 2008 to March 2011, Assistant Nurse Manager of the Medical ICU from June 2006 to May 2008, and Staff Nurse in the Medical ICU from June 2003 to June 2006.

Katie Wallis earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Truman State University, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis from 2004 to 2006. Katie Wallis has also obtained several certifications, including Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in December 2022, and Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement/National Patient Safety Foundation in October 2017. Katie also holds other certifications such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), Missouri Professional Registered Nurse, and TeamStepps Master Trainer.
