Carmen Twyman

Carmen Twyman serves as the Global Head of HR Risk & Compliance at BlackRock, a position held since August 2018, where responsibilities include developing and overseeing the global HR compliance strategy and program, monitoring compliance with labor laws, and optimizing organizational performance. Prior to this role, Carmen was the Global Head of HR Compliance at GAF from April 2010 to July 2018, managing HR operations teams and serving as EEO Officer. Carmen's earlier experience includes positions as Senior Counsel for Employment & Labor, Employment Counsel at ISP, Labor and Employment Attorney at McCarter & English, and Litigation Associate at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur. Carmen holds a B.A. in Rhetoric & Communication Studies and Spanish from the University of Virginia and a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
