Mirza Hasan Abbas

Mirza Hasan Abbas has a diverse work experience, starting in 2005 as a Systems Analyst for Ameriprise Financial at Tata Consultancy Services. Mirza Hasan later worked at Tata Consultancy Services as a Services Designer for Norwich Union, where they focused on services design and architecture for a large corporate pensions project.

Mirza Hasan then became the Lead Integrations Specialist at Tata Consultancy Services, leading the SOA initiatives for Legal and General. Mirza Hasan also worked as a Lead Developer, Service Designer, and Developer, creating services for various projects and providing training and team mentoring.

In 2010, Mirza joined Wipro Technologies as an EAI Specialist, where they worked on performance improvement initiatives for the Aviva project. Mirza Hasan focused on SOA code analysis and architectural analysis to fix performance issues.

Mirza then joined Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2011 as a Websphere Integrations Specialist, working on migration projects and a motorcycle insurance development project.

Since 2013, Mirza has been working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Mirza Hasan started as a Websphere Integration Lead and later became a Technical Architect, responsible for large and complex migration projects. Mirza Hasan also played a crucial role in building the foundation for RESTful services and web services implementation.

Currently, Mirza holds the position of Director of Solutions Architecture, where they are involved in leading API, interoperability, integration, data, and automation initiatives. Mirza Hasan applies container-first approaches and is responsible for rolling out a microservices platform for the enterprise, utilizing technologies such as Springboot, Elasticache, DynamoDB, and Postgres.

Mirza Hasan Abbas has a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University, which they obtained from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their degrees, Mirza has also obtained two certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty exam (DAS-C01) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2021 and AWS Certified Developer - Associate (DVA-C01) from AWS in July 2019.
