Valerie Hoesch

Valerie Hoesch is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as Senior Director of CMC Project Management at bluebird bio since July 2021, Valerie oversees CMC project management across the entire platform. Prior to this role, Valerie held various positions at Johnson Matthey, culminating in the role of Associate Director, CMC Project Management. Valerie's background includes significant leadership experience at VWR, where responsibilities included managing site and science services, as well as a long tenure at AstraZeneca, focusing on medicinal chemistry across various therapeutic areas. Valerie's career began at Cephalon as a Research Associate I, building a strong foundation in synthetic chemistry. Valerie earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Villanova University.
