Ioannis Margaris began their work experience in February 2017, working as a Software Engineer at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and refactoring legacy embedded software, integrating new software tools, managing JIRA projects, tracking software issues, validating software tools, and providing software input to the Design Review process. Ioannis held this position until July 2017.

From July 2017 to January 2020, Margaris worked as a Design Verification Engineer at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. During this time, they contributed to the Design Review process and ensured software quality throughout the product development stages.

In January 2020, Margaris transitioned back to the role of Software Engineer at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, where they continued to maintain legacy embedded software, integrate new software tools, manage JIRA projects, track software issues, validate software tools, and provide software input to the Design Review process. Ioannis remained in this position until July 2021.

In July 2021, Margaris joined Medtronic as a Senior Software QA Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring software quality during the development of electro-mechanical medical devices. Ioannis developed software verification strategies, plans, procedures, and reports, as well as reported and investigated defects. Ioannis held this position until May 2023.

Currently, Margaris is employed at Bluedrop Medical as a Principal Software Quality Engineer, starting in May 2023.

Ioannis Margaris earned a Master of Engineering degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, graduating in 2015. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including a C++ Developer Nanodegree from Udacity in September 2020, a certification in Data Analytics for Lean Six Sigma from Coursera in October 2019, a Certified Software Tester (CSTE) certification from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in May 2019, and a certification in Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach from Coursera in November 2018. Furthermore, Ioannis received a Google Developer Challenge Scholarship from Udacity in November 2017.
