Abhay Ghaisas

Abhay Ghaisas is currently the VP of Engineering at Blueshift. Prior to that, they were with Druva for four years, where they grew the engineering team from 120 to 270 engineers and was responsible for delivering all Druva product lines to public SaaS cloud. Abhay has also introduced new products and functionality at a rapid pace. Before Druva, they were with BMC Software for seven years, where they worked as the chief architect of the BMC Incubator labs and was responsible for leading the incubator group, being a liaison between incubator group and all the product lines, mentoring the incubator members, ensuring IP creation and patenting, etc. Abhay also worked as the software architect for the Bladelogic Server Automation product, where their responsibilities included mentoring the team, regular customer communication for architecture reviews and interventions, ownership of the product architecture, roadmap creation, release planning and execution, IP creation and patenting, etc. Abhay was also part of the company-wide patent review committee responsible for IP creation.

Abhay Ghaisas has completed an MBA in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, an M.S. in Telecommunications and Software Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a B.E. in Computer Engineering from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology.
