Peter Shimkus

Peter Shimkus is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in credit analysis and risk assessment. Currently serving as a Senior Loan Reviewer and Vice President at BMO Financial Group since July 2014, Peter contributes to independent examinations of credits and portfolios, ensuring accuracy in risk ratings and asset quality. Prior to this role, Peter founded and led the Bombers Training Academy and Bridgeport Bombers Inc., organizations dedicated to enhancing baseball skills among youth athletes. Peter's career also includes a tenure as Director at Fitch Ratings, where responsibilities encompassed conducting management reviews and presenting to credit rating committees, as well as serving as Assistant Vice President at Bank One, focusing on credit analysis for the financial services sector. Peter holds a degree from DePaul University, earned between 1986 and 1990.
