Otto Soidinsalo

Otto Soidinsalo is an experienced professional specializing in business development and technical application within the fields of cellulose derivatives and pharmaceuticals. Currently, as a Business Development Manager and Sales Manager for the Nordics and Baltics at Borregaard since June 2016, Otto is responsible for the business development of Exilva, microfibrillated cellulose (MFC). Past roles include serving as a Technical Application Manager and Researcher at Borregaard, where Otto focused on global technical sales support and application development. Prior experience includes consulting services at Soidinsalo Consulting, leadership as CEO and co-founder of Xylocel, and technical management at SE Pharma & Food Materials Distribution GmbH. Additionally, Otto has held positions in product development at Fermion, research at Orion Pharma, and academic studies in organic chemistry at the University of Helsinki, culminating in a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry.
