Melody Watson

Director, RD Club Services at Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Melody Watson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. In 2007, they worked as a Language Assistant at Jean-Baptiste Decretot. From 2008 to 2009, they served as an AmeriCorps Member at The Union Project. In 2011, they worked as a Communications Assistant at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Local Food Outreach Manager at Big River Economic & Agricultural Development Alliance (BREADA). In 2015, they joined Solid Ground Innovations, LLC. as a Program Manager. From 2016 to 2017, they served as the Director of Development at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge. In 2018, they began working at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, initially as the Director of Individual & Civic Giving and later as the Senior Director of Individual Giving. Currently, they hold the position of Director, RD Club Services at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, starting in 2023.

Melody Watson obtained a Master of Public Administration degree in Public and Nonprofit Management from the University of Pittsburgh from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Calvin University from 2003 to 2007. Melody'sbachelor's degree included studies in French, International Development, and African Studies. Melody also holds a certification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) from CFRE International, which they obtained in October 2021.
