Steve Whitford

Steve Whitford has extensive experience in research laboratory management and web design. Currently serving as a Research Laboratory Manager at Brigham and Women's Hospital since March 2001, Steve has overseen a team of 2-3 employees and specialized in DNA extraction from various biological samples. In addition to the hospital role, Steve has operated Whitford Web Design since 2000, creating and maintaining websites for local government and emergency management, along with managing a disaster management database. Previous positions include guiding outdoor equipment purchases at Eastern Mountain Sports and leading dive classes at PG Dive, coupled with early roles in microbiology and animal husbandry. Steve holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from UMass Boston and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
