Chigozie Okolie

Chigozie Okolie is an accomplished student researcher currently affiliated with Nova Scotia Health Authority, focusing on pharmacist prescribing perspectives in inpatient units. With experience as a mathematics and science tutor at Learnability since April 2021, Chigozie has also contributed as a summer student researcher at Dalhousie University in 2022, studying anti-lung cancer properties of beta-glucans. Prior research roles include significant contributions at Cape Breton University in developing biosensors using magnetic nanoparticles and as a graduate student researcher at Verschuren Centre, optimizing polysaccharide extraction processes. Chigozie's early career involved coordinating after-school science programs and instructional roles, complemented by degrees in biochemistry from the University of Port Harcourt and a master's in food biochemistry from Dalhousie University.
