Kate Weeks

Kate Weeks has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries.

Kate started their career in 2008 as a Bookkeeper/Ice Cream/Deli worker at The Yarmouthport Village Store. Kate then moved on to work as a Retail Salesperson at Macy's in 2011.

In 2011, they also worked as a Waitress and Hostess at Barnstable Restaurant and Tavern, where they managed customer interactions and provided service to an average of 30 customers per evening.

From 2014 to 2015, Kate worked as a Primary School Teacher in the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA. Kate was responsible for teaching English to over 350 students across 6 different grades.

In 2015, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at both Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School and Sturgis Charter Public School.

In 2017, they transitioned into the tech industry and worked as a Jr Rails Developer at Annkissam. Over the years, they grew within the company and took on roles such as Rails Developer and Group Manager, Senior Rails Developer and Senior Group Manager, and Director of Services Resourcing and Architecture. Kate'sresponsibilities included developing software solutions and managing teams.

In 2022, they joined Brightline as an Engineering Manager. Kate has since been promoted to Senior Engineering Manager, a role they currently hold.

Throughout their career, Kate has gained experience in various roles, such as teaching, customer service, and software development.

Kate Weeks attended Sturgis Public Charter School from 2006 to 2010, where they completed their high school education. In high school, they focused on higher level courses in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Information Technology in a Global Society. Following their high school education, Kate went on to attend Union College from 2010 to 2014. At Union College, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Mathematics and French.
