Kevin Hynes has over 20 years of experience in various engineering and management roles. Kevin is currently working as the Vice President of R&D, Software Engineering at BrioHealth Solutions. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Engineering at Vicarious Surgical Inc. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as the Senior Director of Research and Development at Dräger, overseeing a team of 200+ people and managing a 50M USD budget. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Dräger, leading a multinational team of over 115 people focused on Agile development.

From 2014 to 2016, Kevin was the Senior Software Manager at Passport Systems, Inc., where they managed software development across various product lines. Kevin also worked as a Software Engineering Manager at Medtronic from 2009 to 2014, introducing Agile processes and leading software development for a surgical imaging system.

Kevin began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Goodrich in 2007, where they developed and enhanced aerospace imaging products. Kevin then worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Acme Packet, Inc. from 2003 to 2007, leading the Security Applications Group. Prior to that, they were a Principal Software Engineer at WaterCove Networks, focusing on IP infrastructure development. Kevin started their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Bay Networks, where they contributed to the development of routing software.

Kevin Hynes attended the University of New Hampshire from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2018, they completed a Mini-MBA program at Bentley University. Kevin also obtained a Project Management Certificate from Northern Essex Community College in 2011. Kevin Hynes graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1989 with a High School degree. Additionally, they received a CSM certification from the Scrum Alliance in 2013.
