Eric Meerdink

Eric Meerdink currently serves as the Senior Director of Pricing and Structuring at Brookfield Renewable U.S. since October 2023. Prior to this role, Eric held positions at NRG Energy as Director of Retail Structuring & Analytics from June 2021 to October 2023, and at Direct Energy where Eric was Head of North American Retail Structuring & Analytics from January 2014 to May 2021. In the latter position, Eric led efforts to model and value market and volumetric risk within the retail portfolio. Eric's extensive experience includes leadership roles at Hess Corp, managing the Structuring and Analytics Department, and at JP Morgan Chase where Eric served as Vice President of Market Risk. Eric began their career at PSEG Energy Resources & Trade, focusing on the structuring of power transactions. Eric holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics from Rutgers University, with additional doctoral studies in Agricultural Economics at The Ohio State University.
