Hannah Mercuris

Hannah Mercuris currently serves as Senior Policy Counsel at the Center for Family Representation, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Hannah has accumulated extensive legal experience at Brooklyn Defender Services, starting as a Legal Intern in 2013 and advancing to Senior Staff Attorney in the Education Practice by May 2016. Earlier positions include Staff Attorney at Partnership for Children's Rights and a Legal Intern at the Legal Aid Society and The Bronx Defenders. Hannah's foundational experience includes roles as a Legal Assistant at the ACLU and a Paralegal at Burke PLLC, along with internships at Human Rights Watch. Hannah holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Human Rights from Columbia University.
