Laura Simon has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Laura began their career as a Claim Consultant at CNA Insurance Company, where they investigated, evaluated, and negotiated complex litigated lawyers' professional liability claims from 1997 to 2000.

In 2000, they joined Brown & Brown Insurance as a Claim Supervisor for Lawyer's Protector Plan™. Laura then served as the Director of Leadership Development for Brown & Brown Insurance from 2006 to 2007, where they led the human resource functions and developed performance measurement tools and leadership development curriculum.

From 2007 to 2022, Laura held the position of EVP, Profit Center Leader for Lawyers Protector Plan™ at B&B Protector Plans, Inc. In this role, they led key business functions including underwriting, claims, operations, risk management, and marketing for a lawyers’ professional liability program across 46 states.

Additionally, from 2016 to 2022, Laura also took on the role of Head of Claims for Protect Professionals Claims Management, overseeing the national claims third party administrator functions for professional liability, general liability, and employment practices liability for healthcare and professional service firms.

Recently, in 2022, Laura became the Chief Marketing Officer for B&B Protector Plans, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown, where they currently serve.

Laura Simon has a diverse educational background. Laura holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University, and another Master of Science (MS) degree in Marketing from the University of Tampa - John H. Sykes College of Business. Additionally, they have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Management from the same institution. Laura also obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Cleveland State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from John Carroll University. In terms of certifications, Laura has completed various professional development programs, including the "Mastering Sales: A Toolkit for Success" from Kellogg Executive Education, the "Section4 Certified Brand Strategist" from Section4, and the "Social Media Marketing Specialization" from Coursera Course Certificates. Laura has also obtained certifications in Emotional Intelligence for Leaders and various insurance licenses.
