Dirk Steurs

Dirk Steurs is an experienced professional in sustainable development and communication. Since November 2012, Dirk has served as Team Manager for Communicatie duurzame gebouwen at Brussels Environment, focusing on promoting sustainable construction through ambitious regulations and financial support. Previously, Dirk was a Projects Coordinator, enhancing communication with building professionals, and a Project Leader for the "Exemplary Buildings" initiative. Prior to this role, Dirk worked at Max Havelaar Belgium (now Fairtrade Belgium) from 1995 to 2010, where responsibilities included Communication Manager and developing campaigns for Fairtrade products. Dirk's educational background includes postgraduate degrees in biological and ecological building, real estate, and marketing, as well as a Master’s in Communication Sciences.
