Thurain Hlaing has a diverse work experience starting in 2017 as a Management Intern at The Bay Club Company, where they developed standard operating procedures and implemented strategies for brand-wide deployment. Thurain also generated revenue through membership renewals and addressed operational issues at sports resorts. In 2018, they worked as an Assistant Membership Director at The Bay Club Company, focusing on generating revenue through sales, upgrades, and renewals, while also improving the member experience through the development of processes. Later that year, they joined Yup.com as an Account Executive, where they played a pivotal role in establishing sales processes and systems. In 2019, they joined Stem, Inc. as a Sales Development Representative, acting as the first point of contact between the company and potential partners/clients. Thurain then moved on to become part of the Strategic Accounts/Enterprise team, managing an enterprise-level prospecting program and developing a scalable process for establishing relationships with target accounts. Currently, Thurain works at BuildOps as a Senior Customer Success Manager, leveraging their experience to ensure customer satisfaction and success.

Thurain Hlaing began their education in 2013 at the University of California, Riverside, where they pursued a degree in Business Administration. Thurain studied there for two years, until 2015. During that same year, they participated in an exchange program at the University of Leeds, studying International Business. In 2015, they also enrolled at Cornell University, majoring in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management. Thurain completed their Bachelor's Degree at Cornell in 2017.
