Shelly Smith

Shelly Smith is a seasoned economist with extensive experience at the Bureau of Economic Analysis, where employment commenced in May 1997 and currently holds the position of Senior Economist in the National Economic Accounts Directorate. Shelly has also served as Chief of the Coordination and Quality Assurance Branch and in roles such as Senior Economist in the Office of the Division Chief and Economist in the Federal Branch. Additionally, Shelly had a brief tenure as an economist at the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economics and Statistics Administration from March 2012 to September 2012. Academically, Shelly earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University between 2001 and 2004.
