Anh Tuan Tran

Anh Tuan (Tony) Tran is an experienced engineer specializing in control systems for autonomous vehicles and energy management. Currently serving as a Radar Engineer at the Bureau of Meteorology since April 2022, Tony previously held roles including Research Fellow at RMIT University and Flight Control Engineer at Ampyx Power. Prior experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Nagoya University involved developing innovative control systems for autonomous vehicles, while collaborative research with Aisin AW Co., Ltd. focused on hybrid and electric vehicle power trains. Further contributions include developing a flight controller for a Quad-Tilt-Wing VTOL UAV in partnership with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. Tony holds a PhD and an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Nagoya University and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
