John Cooney

John Cooney has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. John is currently semi-retired since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President at Burgio, Cooney & Associates, a full-service training company specializing in the automotive industry, from October 2014. At this role, they were responsible for business development, client project development, and client relations.

Before joining Burgio, Cooney & Associates, John worked at Yokohama Tire Corporation for a significant portion of their career. John held various roles and made significant contributions to the company. John started as a District Sales Manager in 1987 and quickly climbed the ranks to become the Director of Commercial Sales, where they effectively managed all aspects of the Commercial Business Unit. John also served as the Director of Dealer Sales and the Director of Export Sales, where they established a new sales and distribution subsidiary of the company in Mexico and the Caribbean. John played a crucial role in increasing market share and profitability.

Prior to Yokohama Tire Corporation, John worked at Michelin America Research Corporation as a Branch Operations Manager from 1980 to 1985.

John also attended Lone Star College from 1982 to 1985, where they studied Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Prior to that, in 1971 and 1972, they were enrolled at Bonozon Healthcare Pvt Ltd, focusing on Business Administration and Management. Their earliest education was at Raytown South High School, where they completed their general studies from 1969 to 1971.

Additionally, John Cooney holds the ASE Certified certification obtained in May 1983 from the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence.
