Dr. Cain has more than 20 years of management experience in preparing, editing, and overseeing the production of a full range of clinical research and regulatory documents in support of drug development programs and marketing approvals. Dr. Cain joined Camargo in 2011.
Dr. Cain received his BS in psychobiology from University of California, Riverside and his PhD in psychology/neuroscience from Northwestern University. He also has an MPH in health policy and administration from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University Medical Center where his research focused on cellular mechanisms of neuropeptide actions in the central nervous system and behavioral neuroendocrinology as they related to drug abuse, aging, and psychiatric disorders.
Dr. Cain has authored more than 65 presentations and publications, including both peer-reviewed scientific publications and review articles. He also was principal or co-investigator on multiple private research grants including ones from the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD; now the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation) and the National Science Foundation.
