Josian Edmond has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2005, Josian worked as a Call Center Supervisor at York University Annual Fund before transitioning to the Ministry of Education as a Language and Cultural Ambassador in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, Josian served as a Teaching Assistant at Dalhousie University.
In 2012, Josian joined the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute - UHN, University of Toronto as a Research Associate/Analyst, where they conducted data analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting. During this time, Josian co-authored a manuscript and provided economic analysis support to the research lab.
Josian then worked as a Decision Support Analyst at Central CCAC from 2013 to 2016. Following this, Josian held the position of Senior Analytics Specialist, Quality Standard at Health Quality Ontario (HQO) from 2016 to 2020.
In 2020, Josian joined Ontario Health | Santé Ontario, initially working as a Senior Analytics Specialist before transitioning to the roles of Team Lead, Analytics and later Manager, Data and Analytics.
Josian's most recent work experience includes serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services and currently working as an Associate Director, Data and Analytics, Centre of Excellence at Canadian Blood Services.
Josian Edmond has a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Honors degree in Economics and Business from York University. They also hold a Master of International Business Administration degree from the University of International Business and Economics, where they completed a Summer Exchange program in Beijing, China. In addition, Josian has a Master of Development Economics degree with a specialization in Health Economics from Dalhousie University. They have obtained a certification in Principles of Obesity Economics from Coursera in 2012.
