David Barn

David Barn is an experienced professional in the fields of research, development, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on consumer products and pharmaceuticals. Currently serving as Head of Research & Development at Candle Shack Limited since April 2019, David is responsible for new product development, product safety testing, and ensuring legislative compliance. Previously, David held the position of Regulatory and Technical Manager at The Scottish Fine Soaps Company, overseeing compliance with EU and US cosmetics regulations. Additionally, experience includes roles as a Chemist at Link, Technical/Process Manager at Bakhu Pharma, and Medicinal Chemist at MSD, contributing to drug development and production management. David holds a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and an LLB from the University of Strathclyde, alongside a BSc Hons in Chemistry from the University of the West of Scotland.
