Joey Pakes Nelson

Joey Pakes Nelson has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. From 2005-2007, they were a Teaching Assistant at Harvard University. From 2007-2014, they were a Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley. In 2014, they were a Lecturer at UC Berkeley and a NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University. From 2011-2014, they were a Workshop Leader and Mentor at CAL:BLAST, developing and leading overnight investigatory science education trainings. From 2018-2021, they were a Senior Product Manager and Product Manager at MIRROR, enabling behavioral change companies to focus on what their customers want. Currently, they are the Director of Product Management at Capable Health, building the future of wellness.

Joey Pakes Nelson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from Harvard University in 2005, having started in 2001. Joey then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013.
