Bioinformatics Scientist at Capsida Biotherapeutics

Evan Walsh is a Bioinformatics Scientist at Capsida Biotherapeutics since October 2022. Previously, Walsh served as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University from August 2018 to December 2022, where research focused on metabolic impacts of maternal over-nutrition and sex determination via PCR assays. As the President of the North Carolina State University Triathlon Club from August 2017 to December 2018, leadership skills were demonstrated. An NIH Summer Intern at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in June 2018, Walsh investigated the role of Apn2 in ribonucleotide incorporation during DNA replication. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, both obtained from North Carolina State University. Academic support roles included tutoring in chemistry and genetics as part of the TRIO Student Support Services Program.
