André Piccolomini, Ph.D.

André Piccolomini, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. André began their career in 1999 as a Dietitian at a Private Endocrinology Clinic. In 2001, they were appointed Director of the Nutrition Clinic at Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná. From 2000 to 2003, they served as a Clinical Research Associate for Novartis and Tuiuti University of Parana. In 2003, they were a Consultant for the Federal Government of Brazil's Ministry of Education. From 2005 to 2012, they worked at McGill University as a Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, and Clinical Research Coordinator. Since 2012, they have been working at CareSimple as a Compliance Director, Privacy Officer & DPO, Compliance Manager, Privacy Officer & DPO, and Compliance Manager & Privacy Officer. In this role, they have been responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 13485:2016, promoting and awareness of applicable regulatory requirements and quality management system requirements, designing and executing efficient, effective internal audits and compliance monitoring programs, and ensuring compliance with privacy legislation.

André Piccolomini, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition from Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba between 1994 and 1997. André then went on to pursue a M.Sc in Public Health from the University of Sao Paulo between 1998 and 2000. Finally, they obtained their Ph.D in Human Nutrition from McGill University between 2005 and 2012. In addition, they have obtained certifications from Exemplar Global, Inc. such as AU - Management Systems Auditing (ISO 19011:2018), ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor (TPECS), and TL - Leading Management Systems Audit Teams (ISO 19011:2018). André also has a certification in US GCP - ICH guidelines from Royal Holloway - University of London, obtained in May 2012.
