Carlos Alcalde

Carlos Alcalde is a Senior Associate at Carey since August 2022, bringing extensive legal expertise in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets. Prior to this role, Carlos served as an International Lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from October 2021 to July 2022 and was a Professor of Civil Law at Universidad de los Andes from July 2018 to October 2021. Carlos also held the position of Associate at Carey from May 2015 to July 2020, where the focus was on advising national and foreign clients on mergers, buy-sell transactions, private equity, and venture capital. Academically, Carlos holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard University (2020-2021), a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2009-2014), and is currently pursuing the International Asian Studies Programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
